Youth Ministry

Youth are our future; both as a society and within our church. Making sure the youth in our lives grow up with faith is critical. St. John Lutheran Church provides faith formation opportunities for ages 4-18. Bringing children to Sunday School is a wonderful way to help build a foundation of faith, but far more effective in building life-long faith in a child is modeling faithful behaviors at home and holding meaningful discussions on topics surrounding faith with the children in your life.

Sunday School

Sunday School for all kids in PreK-5 is held on Sunday mornings. Curriculum follows the three-year lectionary to encourage youth and families to connect deeper with scripture outside of worship services.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is typically held in July for kids in PreK-5th grade. All are welcome to attend. Learn more about VBS at our church.

Light Force

Light Force prepares middle schoolers to confirm their baptism. Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings. Building on the faith formation provided in Sunday School, youth are emersed in biblical discussion and are encouraged to ask questions to explore their faith and discover more about the Lutheran church.

Luther League

Luther League designed for high school students to explore deeper faith issues. This ministry enjoys doing service projects in the church and the community.

Leaders for Youth Ministry programs are vital to help children learn about Jesus and grow their faith. Inquire on how you can lend your time and talents to any one of these.
